Chris Bird - President
Chris has worked in the oil and gas industry as a Petroleum Engineer since 2008. Prior to founding Tallgrass in 2016, he worked as a District Engineer for BlueStone Natural Resources and as Production Manager for BRG Energy. He earned degrees in both Petroleum Engineering and Business from the University of Tulsa.

Brad is a former partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, a law firm based in Orange County, California, where his practice focused on tax and real estate matters and where he served as the Chair of the firm’s Corporate and Tax Section. Prior to joining Rutan & Tucker, LLP, he was an associate in the Tax Department of the Chicago office of Sidley Austin LLP. Brad received degrees in Finance and Spanish from Arizona State University, and his Juris Doctor from The University of Chicago Law School.

Brian is a Certified Public Accountant since 2008 and has over 16 years of experience in accounting and real estate. Prior his current role, he served as a manager at Kim & Lee Certified Public Accountants where his practice focused on audit, tax, and compliance. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.

Danny is a fourth generation Oilfield Professional with over forty years of experience in domestic oil and gas exploration and production, in Oklahoma. His work history spans several well-known companies in the energy sector including Mobil, Amoco, Noble, and Mid-Con Energy. Danny earned a bachelor’s degree in safety as an Honor Graduate from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Don began his career as an independent field landman in Kansas and Oklahoma. Prior to working at Tallgrass, he spent nine years working in-house as a senior landman on assets in the mid-continent region for CEP Mid-Continent and Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation. Don is a CPL and active member of the AAPL and TAPL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Kansas.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2003, Lawson worked across the Fayetteville Shale for four years before going to work for PetroQuest Energy LLC in Tulsa in 2007. While at PetroQuest, Lawson worked through both the growth of the company’s Oklahoma assets as well as through the company’s sale in 2012. In 2009, Lawson was asked to be a part of the Oklahoma Shale Reservoir Development Act team in the initial regulatory development of multi-unit horizontal wells. He continued his Oklahoma focus while working with Eagle Rock Energy in the SCOOP, STACK as well as the MERGE assets while also working Business Development roles to help in the growth of the company. He was hired by Samson Resources in 2014 as Senior District Landman. He oversaw multiple land projects across the state of Oklahoma and was instrumental in the sale of multiple Oklahoma properties prior to its bankruptcy in 2016. Lawson then went to work for Casillas Petroleum and was instrumental in the acquisition and development of the nearly 80,000-acre SCOOP/STACK assets as well through the company’s merger. In the fall of 2024, Lawson joined Tallgrass Resources and serves as Senior Landman. He is a Certified Professional Landman and has served on multiple AAPL committees as well as various positions, including President of the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Miranda has worked in the energy industry as an engineer since 2014. She has held several roles such as a production and asset engineer for NBI Services and Blackbeard Operating, respectively. Miranda holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. She is an active member of the Mid-Continent Section of Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Tulsa. She has been a registered CPA with the state of Oklahoma for over 20 years and has over 10 years’ experience in upstream oil and gas.

Scott has worked in various aspects of production and workover operations since 2006. Prior to joining Tallgrass Resources, he held various roles in companies such as Sheridan, Chesapeake Energy, and the University of Tulsa. Scott has owned and operated oil production and several oilfield service companies. He earned a degree in Automation and Industrial Controls in 2013.
